It’s safe to say that eye shadow bases are my new favourite thing! Since Sigma Beauty is launching 9 new shadow bases sold separately and in sets of 3, I’ve been trying out some of them and absolutely loving them!

It’s true to its name; shadow BASE. It forms a base for the eyeshadow to intensify its color and to keep it from creasing, but either worn on its own or with shadow layered on top of it, those babies stay put! They did not crease whatsoever. I do not have the oiliest of eyelids, but most cream shadows crease on me, except for this one and the Maybelline color tattoo.

I love the packaging of the three sets: Flare, Bare, and Dare. The colors complement each other in each set and complement the eye shadows that came in the previous Sigma eye shadow palettes under the same flare, bare, and dare names. The box comes with 3 different shades of shadow bases, a dark, light and a shimmery base, with a PERFECT brush. I usually never use any brushes that come with kits and palettes but Sigma always does it right.
