Hello ladies! Lets get right into it,
Dont you love watching all those DIY’s videos and tutorials and never actually came around to doing them? I finally decided to go for it and to begin with something I actually use daily. I’m a huge fan of mixing butters, creams and body oils to reach the ultimate moisturizing body butter and I think I’ve reached my goal.
And here is what I used
- Shea Butter
- Coconut oil
- Argan Oil
- Vitamin E Oil
- Essence of your choice, I used Amber and Lavender
- Empty containers. I just recycled my LUSH empty containers
I had a couple of other oils ready as well but I haven’t used them honestly. I think 3 is more than enough
Now it depends on the quantity you want to make, I used
- 1 cup Shea butter
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup Argan oil
- 1/2 Vitamin E oil
- 20 drops of Lavender essence for half the batch, and same goes to the Amber for the other half. You might find 20 drops a lot or maybe not but I don’t like the smell of Shea butter so I try to cover it with something.
Mix all in a blander until you reach the consistency you like, you might need to add a little bit of either oils if the mix is a bit lumpy, or you might need to add more Shea butter butter to add more fluffiness to the body butter.
The good thing that there isn’t right or wrong thing here as they’re all natural oils in different forms, it all depends on how you like your body butter. This recipe worked for me but I will be trying something different next time as soon as I’m done with this huge batch!
What do you ladies suggest I should try next?
